Steps to Start a Telehealth Teleconference

1. Log In to the System

  • Open the app.
  • Enter your login credentials and click Log In.

2. Access Your Scheduled Appointments

  • Navigate to the Appointments tab located on the main navigation menu.
  • Here, you will see a list of your upcoming and requested appointments.
  • Find the scheduled appointment for which you want to start a telehealth teleconference.
  • You will see the appointment details and a Lobby button. The lobby button appears when it's almost time for your video consultation.

3. Verify the Appointment Details

  • Ensure that the date and time of the appointment are correct and that you are ready to join the teleconference.
  • If the appointment time is approaching or it’s time for the session, proceed to the next step.

4. Start the Telehealth Teleconference

  • At the time of the scheduled appointment, the Lobby button will become active on the appointment details page.
  • Click on the Lobby button to start the session.
  • A new tab will open, launching the Telehealth teleconferencing interface.

5. Check Your Audio and Video Settings

  • Before joining the session, the platform will prompt you to check your audio and video settings.
  • Ensure that your microphone, camera, and speakers are working correctly.
  • If needed, adjust your settings to improve the quality of the call.
  • Once everything is set, click on Join Session to enter the teleconference.

6. Conduct the Telehealth Consultation

  • You will now be connected with the veterinarian in a virtual consultation room.
  • Discuss your animal’s health concerns, share any relevant information, and follow the veterinarian’s instructions.
  • The veterinarian may also share documents, images, or videos during the consultation, which you can view directly on the platform.

7. Use the In-Call Features

  • You can view media, records, and notes while on the video call on the various tabs.
  • The video call interface includes several features to enhance the consultation:
    • File Sharing: Upload and share files such as medical records or images directly within the teleconference.
    • Mute/Unmute: Control your microphone to manage background noise or when you’re not speaking.
    • Video: Switch your video on or off accordingly by clicking on the video button.

8. End the Telehealth Session

  • Once the consultation is complete, you can end the session by clicking on the Leave button.
  • After the call ends, you will be directed back to the appointment details page where you can review any notes or follow-up instructions provided by the veterinarian.

9. Review and Follow-Up (recommended)

  • After the telehealth session, take a moment to review the notes and any advised follow-up actions.
  • If a follow-up appointment is needed, you can schedule it through the Appointments section.

Tips

  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection for the best video quality.
  • Test your camera and microphone before the consultation to avoid technical issues.

By following these steps, you can ensure a seamless video consultation experience.
