How to use the messaging and chat feature

Overview


This article explains how to use the messaging and chat feature within the telemedicine system to communicate with veterinary doctors, farmers, and support teams.


Steps to using the messaging and chat feature


1. Login 

  • Log in to the system to access the dashboard.


2. Access the Messaging Feature:


For Mobile:


 Tap the Messages icon located at the top right corner of your screen.



For Desktop:


Click the Messages icon located at the bottom left corner of your screen, labeled as Chat



3. Start a New Conversation: 

 Select the recipient from the list of Vets, VPPs, or clients.

  • If you are a vet, you will see Clients and Team.


  • If you are a VPP you will see Clients and Providers.


  • If you are a Farmer, you will see providers;

 


4. Compose and Send a Message:

  • Type your message in the text box at the bottom of the chat window.
  • Click the send arrow to send your message.

 

 

5. View and Reply to Messages:

  • Messages you receive will appear in the chat window. Click on any conversation to view the message history.  

  • Type your reply in the text box and click the paper airplane icon or the right-facing arrow to send your message."


Note: When you leave the chat page, new messages will be indicated in red on the messages icon on top of your screen with a count. (For example "2")

Tips:

  • Use the chat feature to quickly communicate with your veterinary team or clients without needing to schedule a call.


  • Keep messages professional and concise for clear communication.
